PREMIUM SELECTIONS

Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2012
$678

Sparkling, intense deep red garnet. Very appealing, concentrated nose, but also shows
fresh fruit such as dark cherries, fresh plums and a touch of cardamom, beautiful game.
Fills the palate very well, grippy, fine tannins, opens in many layers, ripe cherry,
slightly salty notes,
shows tension. Great powerful bouquet of red fruit, cherries, plums supplemented with cocoa,
liquorice and vanilla. The taste is full, intense with an enormously refined elegance
and a remarkably long powerful aftertaste

Marchesi Antinori Solaia Toscana IGT 2016
$938

An intense ruby red in color, Solaia 2016 distinguishes itself on the nose by its intensity and its aromatic richness,
the notes of ripe dark fruit, particularly blackberries and blueberries, fused with balsamic sensations of aromatic herbs and mint;
sweet notes of chocolate and cotton candy alternate with spicy suggestions of white pepper, conferring freshness and complexity to the bouquet.
The palate is rich and enveloping with supple and silky tannins capable of transmitting elegance, character, and an exceptional expression of fruit.
The vibrant finish, long and very persistent, indicates an optimal aging potential over time.

2016 Antinori Tignanello Toscana IGT
$288

Dark, sour cherries, red fruit and oak. It’s remarkably well balanced yet young. Just the right level of acidity, gripping tannins and a long finish. Generally speaking not crazy about most Italian wine, but this one surprised me in a very nice way! I had it with pasta and game ragout, and it worked perfectly.

On the nose it is out of this world. Delicate and complex, with impressive balance. An outstanding

Tenuta Greppo (Biondi-Santi) Brunello di Montalcino 1983

Thoroughly engaging and ethereal with notes of black truffle, roast meats, chocolate and floral spice.
It its heart is dense berry fruit and it is fine and lacy against the guns. Flavours really build and
fan out once the wine is swallowed.

Magical. Mint, almonds, citrus, green apples and pear. Some oak to hold everything in balance. Lengthy finish that settles into something sweet and tart, apricot.

loius.png

Intense aromas of ripe blueberries, currants and more savory, tarry notes, as well as iodine, violets and cassis. The palate has a supple and succulent feel.
